How densely should you drive pegs into garden edges?

For straight lines, it is enough to use 3 pieces. garden edge pegs per meter of tape, which will prevent the material from bending sideways. The situation changes when forming arches or sharp turns around trees. In such cases, the density should be increased to 5 or even 6 attachment points. This arrangement prevents the plastic from deforming due to temperature fluctuations on hot July afternoons.

Installation Instructions: How to properly install garden stakes in hard ground?

The installation process doesn’t require calling in an outside contractor, as long as you take proper care of the soil. First, dig a narrow trench along the planned shoreline, removing any rocks or thick roots. Then, place the tape in the trench and prepare edging pins.

When driving elements into the ground, follow these rules:

  • use only a hammer with a rubber head to avoid breaking the plastic head when striking;
  • insert the pin perpendicular to the ground, aiming precisely at the factory-prepared holes;
  • In clay soil, make a pilot hole in advance using a steel rod or a thick drill.

These steps reduce the risk of material breakage during field work. Check available anchor specifications, add selected products to your cart, and start marking your own paths this week.
